Yes, I humanized these woodland creatures just a bit. I pictured them happily enjoying the season outside, decorating, snacking, and getting into mild mischief while the real humans slumber inside the cozy cabin. It’s one of my favorite kinds of scenes to paint: festive, detailed, and just unrealistic enough to be absolutely perfect.
